Canadian entrepreneur, festival producer, and community builder who believes in one simple philosophy: use your megaphone for good.

Raised in the small rural community of Keremeos, British Columbia, Billie-Jo didn't grow up around big stages or global brands. What she did grow up with was grit, imagination, and the belief that impossible dreams are simply goals that haven't been chased yet.
Today, she is the founder of The Festival Company, a Canadian-owned event production and marketing agency that has helped build and produce festivals, concerts, and community events across North America. Through her work, Billie-Jo has partnered with municipalities, charities, corporations, and artists to create experiences that bring communities together while generating meaningful economic and social impact.
One of Billie-Jo's most recognized creations is Extreme Mudfest, a high-energy off-road racing and music festival brand that has rapidly grown into an international entertainment property. What started as a grassroots motorsports event in Northern Canada has evolved into a multi-day festival experience combining racing, concerts, camping, and community celebration — with global expansion now underway in the Middle East.
But Billie-Jo's work has never been just about events. Throughout her career, she has been deeply committed to creating positive impact for young people, particularly in rural and underserved communities. This commitment led her to co-found the Lifted Youth & Mental Health Foundation, an organization focused on improving access to youth mental health resources, mentorship, and inspiration.
As the mother of twin girls who were born prematurely, she understands firsthand the balancing act of building a business, raising a family, and pursuing purpose-driven work. That lived experience is woven into everything she builds.
"Help people build businesses that matter, create communities that thrive, and prove that one voice — when used boldly — can change the world."

And now, it's all yours.
I believe that small business can change the world.
I believe that when one woman rises, she brings others with her.
I believe that a rising tide truly does float all boats.
Be so loud they can't ignore you.
